Below are programs recommended for students to participate in after school:
- After- School Chicago - After-School Chicago is a website that parents and students can use to search after-school programs by location and by area of interest.
- Chicago Park District - CPD offers fitness and socialization programs for children and adolescents.
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago - Big Brothers Big Sisters focuses on helping children realize their potential and build their futures. They work with community members to provide adult mentors to the young boys and girls of Chicago.
- Marwen Inspiration Art Opportunity - Marwen provides free art classes to children who are in grades 6-12 and live in Chicago. The art classes include working with clay, creating movies, painting, drawing, sculpting, and more.
- Parent and Kid Art Workshops at Lakeview High School - Open to kid who attend elementary school in the Lake view area. Contact the Art Department Chair at the high school for more information.
