Athletics

Sports programming at Newberry is extensive.  Beginning in 5th Grade, students are able to try-out for the various seasonal sports teams.  Teachers and parent volunteers have been gracious enough to serve as coaches for our sports teams.  In collaboration with the Athletics & Sports Department within CPS, our teams play competitively against other teams within the same network.  Practices and games are held after school hours; some games are played at Newbery while others are played at visiting schools.
