Our vision at Newberry Academy is to be a school of the 21st century for all students.

Mission
Through the integration of technology, with an emphasis on reading, math and science, our school will provide all its students, including those with disabilities, a program of the highest standard. Our goal is to challenge all students to develop their talents and prepare them to succeed in future education.

As a result of the "Newberry" experience, all students will realize that school and the world of work are different stages of the same activity, "learning." The Newberry family is aware of life’s opportunities and maintains high expectations for its students, teachers, parents, administration and community.

Priority Goals

1. Reading – To improve achievement in reading and writing for all students.
2. Mathematics/Science – To improve achievement for all students through the integration of mathematics, science and technology.
3. Staff Development – Integrate professional development program to support and expand the teachers’ skills in meeting the needs of all students.
      * To fully implement Education Connection Plan
      * To increase the ability of teachers to integrate special education students into general education classes.
      * To improve teachers’ understanding of service requirements of special needs students.
      * To implement “Critical Friends” program.
